Steak Smothered with Onions

Ingredients

  • thin sliced strip steak
  • onion, chopped
  • chili paste (optional)
  • white wine
  • butter
  • salt
  • pepper

Instructions

  1. melt butter in skillet on medium heat
  2. add onions and sweat
  3. rub steak with salt and pepper
  4. deglaze with a splash of white wine and chili paste (to taste)
  5. move onions to the side and add steak
  6. flip steak and pile onions on top
